In the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans, where Mazda achieved the first-ever overall victory for a Japanese car, car number 18 played a crucial role. This car, painted in the Mazda factory colors, not only supported the winning Car No. 55 but also secured a respectable 6th place finish itself.
